Filing Flight Plans Using CSC DUATS
|
Note: CSC DUATS was previously known as DynCorp DUATS, GTE DUATS and before that as Contel DUATS
|
Now you can have access to your flight plans when you don't have access to the internet.
If you select the "CSC" radio button (in the "Change User/ PIC Info" section) and supply your current access code and password for CSC, we will file your flight plan with your CSC DUATS system information.
This will enable you to make changes to your flight plan(s) at any of the terminals found in many of the FBO's across the country. This feature is particularly useful for crews that do not have internet access on a multi-day trip. You can make any changes to your flight plan, such as, number of pax, alternate airport change, ETD...even enter a different route.
If you choose the "FltPlan" (default) radio button, your flight plans will only be accessable through our internet website.
If you choose the "CSC" radio button,
Your flight plans will be accessable through our internet website and through CSC DUATS within 23 hours of your scheduled departure time.
You must have a current/valid CSC access code and password.
You cannot "apply" for a CSC code/password through FltPlan.com. You must do this directly with CSC. Their web address is: http://www.duats.com .
There is NO "business connection" or agreements between DyaCorp DUATS and FltPlan.com.
We simply submit to CSC DUATS your flight plan(s) to be filed using your Access Code and Password.
We are pleased to offer this extra versitility and option to our users, however you will notice some small changes in the way your flight plans are handled if you select the CSC DUATS system.
As before, you can still submit your flight plans to FltPlan.com up to 40 days in advance.
Flight plans can still be selected for filing (using either filing method, FltPlan or CSC) within 40 minutes of your scheduled Departure time.
By using the CSC option, your flight plan(s) will be sent to CSC 23 hours (or immediately if less than 23 hours) prior to the departure time entered in your flight plan whereas the FltPlan.com option sends your flight plan to ATC 2 hours prior to departure.
You may still modify your flight plan(s) more than 2 hours prior to your departure time. If the flight plan has already been submitted to CSC, we will send the modification to CSC.
Changes within 2 hours (less than 2 hours) of your departure time, for a flight plan already submitted, require you to call a FSS with your changes or you can simply refile and request a full route clearance.
Another important "topic" to remember, assuming you choose the CSC option, is that any changes made to your flight plan(s) DIRECTLY WITH CSC WILL NOT (we repeat)...WILL NOT be applied to your flight plan on the FltPlan.com servers.
If you request a CSC "navigation log", it will NOT use any of the "aircraft profiles" you have stored on your FltPlan.com data base. It will use the profiles you have stored in your CSC data base.
How to set up your user information for filing Through CSC DUAT.
From the Main Menu Page
Select: Change User or PIC Info
Select: CSC (versus FltPlan.com)
Enter your CSC's DUATS Acess Code and Password
Press the Press Here When Done button.
All your future flight plans will be filed using your CSC's DUATS access code and password and acessible through any DUATS workstation located at an FBO..
FltPlan.com hopes you find this new feature helpful and, as always, we appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have concerning this, or any, of our services.
